CFS is, first and foremost, a Christian School. The primary purpose of the school is to present the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as it applies to every aspect of the individual's life.
Although the school conducts a complete and well-rounded curriculum, incorporating every aspect of traditional American education, it is the PHILOSOPHY of the school that sets it apart from most other schools. CFS is founded upon the belief that God has called the school into existence to proclaim the whole truth of His Word and lead people to Christ. Every area of the curriculum is based upon Christian principles and is taught from a biblical perspective.
It is the firm conviction of the school leadership that the primary responsibility of rearing children rests with the parents; the school is here to help them, not replace them. Parents are encouraged to contact the school and set up parent-teacher conferences and classroom visits.
The school's Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is another way of keeping an open line of communication between the home and the school. PTF activities include planning for and helping with various events, discussion of cares and concerns about the school, and prayer for the school and the student body. The PTF is an excellent opportunity for parents to provide input for school staff and administration.
Matthew 18:20 tells us: "for where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I with them." As a family, we can help these children mature both at home and at school. Who better to put their heads together than the people that influence them the most? All student's parents, caregivers and grandparents are encouraged to attend PTF meetings. Look for notes about times and places. More information about the CFS PTF can be found on the Christian Fellowship School Facebook page and accompanying links.
Another way to help children develop lasting Christian values is through active participation in a local church. If your family is not involved in a church, we invite you to check out Velocity Church here on the Christian Fellowship campus. Services start at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday. Velocity Church is one of many fine churches that may be found in the area.
Our desire is to operate the school ministry with a "family atmosphere". Please consider being a part of our "family".
