THE CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP SCHOOL
RADIO STATION
WCFS-LPFM is a low-power Christian radio station licensed and operated by Christian Fellowship Church. It broadcasts at 105.9 in stereo 24 hours a day.
The station serves Du Quoin and the immediate surrounding area with Christian music, local and national teaching and devotional programs as well as news , weather and sports.
WCFS-LPFM is also used as a live radio station to teach broadcasting and communications to the students of Christian Fellowship School. It allows students to produce programs on a real live station and gives them both the background and experience of radio broadcasting. The main goal of WCFS-LPFM is to deliver the message of Jesus Christ to the community.
Several CFS high school and junior high students are now doing daily broadcasts on school days. Live student broadcasts can be heard at 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. The broadcasts consist of news, sports, weather, Scripture devotions, public service announcements, school and church announcements, and music. One week delayed church services are also broadcast on Sunday mornings, starting at 10:00 a.m. Other live broadcast are done on an as-needed basis.
