  Spanish Classes

It is a graduation requirement that students at Christian Fellowship School have two high school foreign language credits. For the 2008-2009 school year, the main foreign language courses, Spanish I and Spanish II, will be taught as video instruction courses.  The lecture portion of these classes will be done by instructors from Pensacola Christian School via DVD.  The rest of the instruction in these classes will be carried out by a member of the CFS teaching staff who has a background in the Spanish language.

For students who do not choose to take Spanish, CFS offers optional independent studies in French I and French II.  These courses are audio tape and workbook based.  These independent studies courses will fulfill the school's foreign language requirement, but students should be aware that many colleges will not recognize independent studies courses on high school transcripts.

A third option fro fulfilling the foreign language credits requirement is to take one year of either Spanish or French and one year of computer programming.  This option should only be considered if the student is planning to pursue a computer related technical career.  As in the case of the independent studies courses, many colleges do not accept computer programming as a foreign language.
