Students learn technology skills that will follow them for a lifetime!
With young people becoming more-and-more
computer literate at an early age, technology instruction has shifted
from the basic "how to use the computer"
to how to stay safe while using the computer and
how to make practical use of the computer.
Computers are available in each classroom and student use is closely supervised by school staff. High school students at CFS have the opportunity to engage in a variety of independent studies related to engineering and technology.  The school is working to refine and expand these opportunities in order to give students practical, hands-on work experience in areas relevant to their tomorrows.  Eleventh and twelfth grade students who have maintained a good academic record are given the opportunity to schedule afternoon released-time to attend college classes or engage in apprenticeship programs.  It is also possible for high school students to take Dual Enrollment classes through area community colleges either on the college campuses, the college extension centers, or haere at CFS through on-line classes.
